FAQ's
Q: So, what is it you actually do?

A: I play guitar in a range of styles (e.g. metal, rock, pop, punk, funk, blues, soul, jazz, soundscape and avant garde. I like to record everything from crazy instrumental songs to grooving hard rock numbers to heartfelt breakup songs to funky pop songs. I've been gigging since I was eighteen (almost 20 years ago!!) and I'm more at home on a stage than I am in my living room.
Q: Are you experienced?

A: Very. I have a vast repertoire of songs, styles and approaches to all genres of music. I've recorded, I've gigged, I've toured, I've endured the freezing cold North Sea in order to feature in a music video, I've dealt with broken strings two seconds into the first song, I've studied and devoured music all my life and I am a hardwired guitar addict.
Q: Who are your influences?

A: The first really impressive guitar player that got my attention was Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme). Shortly thereafter, my uncle gave me a cassette of Joe Satriani's 'Flying in a Blue Dream' album and my life changed forever. Joe Satriani became the player I studied tirelessly. Then, I discovered Steve Vai who, I felt REALLY took guitar playing to the next level. I'm very much influenced by his flamboyance, showmanship, tone and sonic sensibilities. I am particularly influenced by the clean, fast picking style of Yngwie Malmsteen and Zakk Wylde. I rate Dimebag Darrell as the greatest metal guitar player who ever lived. Marty Friedman (Megadeth) has incredible chops, tone, phrasing and melody. Matthias IA Eklundh is amazingly unique on the guitar. Randy Rhoads' sense of melody and phrasing is also a huge motivation for me to pick up my guitar and try to emulate even 1% of what he did on the instrument. Jason Becker's fierce neo-classical shredding scares me into practicing my sweep picking. Guthrie Govan is about as adept as anyone will ever need to be on the guitar. Angel Vivaldi makes it look easy which is why I hate him (I don't really.. he is rather good.. : )
Q: How do I get in touch with you?
